Question

What are the current COVID restrictions?

Answer

There are currently no COVID restrictions in Ireland or Northern Ireland. You no longer have to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test prior to travel to Ireland. Please see the following websites for the most up to date information for both the north and south. ROI: https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/covid19/living_with_covid19_plan.html# NI: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/campaigns/coronavirus-covid-19 When coming back into the US, at this time (5/30/22) you are still required to provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within one day of travel. You do not currently have to be vacinnated if you are a US citizen. If you have recovered from COVID in the last 90 days, you may provide a letter of recovery instead of a negative COVID test. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html#:~:text=Air%20passengers%20traveling%20to%20the,for%20all%20passengers%20before%20boarding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the Cathedral at least 15 minutes early so we can get started on time.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal wear

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, our hotel only accommodates a certain number of guests. If your invitation does not include a plus one, please do not bring a date.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have not included kids on the invitations as we thought we would give the parents a night off! But please know, kids are more than welcome so please reach out if you would like to bring them.

Question

Do you have any accomodation recommendations?

Answer

Please see our 'Travel' section of this website for listings of local hotels. There is a wide selection of airbnbs and local b&bs. Please check with Claire before you book so we can tell you about the area (close to bars, outside of the city etc) - I'm happy for you to reach out at any time! (clairecassidy832@gmail.com/401-212-6044) Please make sure when you are searching for accomodation/things to do you are searching around County Derry/Londonderry. There are places called Derry in 5 other counties of Ireland (Galway, Sligo, Mayo, Laois & Cavan), which are NOT close!!

Question

Is there transportation between the ceremony/hotel and back again?

Answer

There is a bus organised from the Cathedral to the Lough Eske. The bus will return guests to Derry following the reception (approx 2am). Please indicate on your RSVP if you would like a seat on the bus or reach out to Steve (518-369-4002) or Claire (401-212-6044), or by email clairecassidy832@gmail.com.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Gifts are not necessary, however if you wish to give something to the bride and groom, we have a registry attached to this website. Please do not feel obligated to purchase anything from the registry (we are aware there are some expensive items on there), These are things we want and we get a discount by adding them to our list! We have also enabled group gifting so if you want to add money towards something that is also an option. But really, we just want you all there celebrating our day with us!
