Ours is a story spun from the threads of mutual connections and delightful coincidences. Those from Colorado know how small it truly is, with everyone knowing everyone. So, to no surprise, that is how we met, through a mutual friend New Year’s Eve 2019 filled with bubbles and pickle shots. Although that was when we met, it was not until a few months later that we ran into each other and had an actual conversation which led to messaging, then a first date, to now. Our journey evolved from a series of near-misses to moments filled with laughter, comfort, and love.

It all began with Daniel, concocting a plan under the guise of "family pictures" with his cousin and photographer, Maria. The evening started with Daniel, Erika, and Finley arriving at the stunning Castlewood Canyon for what seemed like a regular family photoshoot in the early evening. Daniel kept it cool as they walked the canyon trails taking family pictures. Right before sunset Maria led them to a scene overlooking the canyon for the golden moment. It appeared that the photoshoot was coming to an end and Daniel found his moment. He dropped down on one knee with a simple “will you marry me?". And that, is how Daniel transformed a family photoshoot into a surprising cliffside proposal.
