It’s happening!

Our story began four years ago, when a Google search gone wrong brought us together in the most unexpected way. As it turns out, that “Google search gone wrong”, was exactly what both of us needed most. Life and love work in mysterious ways and now, after four years as the best of friends, two round trip visits to see each other, three years as a couple and two years living together, we’re making the biggest journey of all, we’re getting married! Finally making legal what we have always felt in our hearts.

When Terry and I first met after initially connecting online, as soon as our eyes met, I wasn’t anxious or nervous about meeting some stranger off the internet. It was like that song lyric, ‘It is well with my soul,’ something about him immediately felt familiar and I was instantly at peace just being in his presence. I didn’t get the butterflies around this incredibly gorgeous guy who couldn’t take his eyes off me; instead, it was like my soul recognized him as my missing piece. When we met the first time, it really was like time stood still and all I could hear was my heart pounding, all I could see was him. It was right then that I realized that when you meet your soulmate, you fall in love involuntarily and it’s an incomparable, soul-awakening, knee-weakening, all-consuming adoration that will never be duplicated. You intuitively know that this person is a natural extension of you, without warning, without effort, without compromise.

I knew

I've known Laveda and Terry for about three years now. When I first met them, I was taken aback by how thier love for one another radiated off of them.. The way they look at each other is magic in itself. When he looks at her, there's a fire in his eyes that never fades or dies, it’s a forever burning flame of raw emotional love, awe inspiring, and much more. I can't describe when she looks at him, her eyes shine full of adoration, love, desire and devotion. A sparkle that she has for no one else. The love they share is once in a lifetime. Such a pure, exciting, and treasurable thing that only happens when you find someone that sparks your soul and for Laveda, only Terry gave that spark. As for Terry, only Laveda could ignite the fire in his soul. When I look at them as a couple, I see a love that has without a doubt made it through any and every obstacle in its path. This love has crossed millions of miles, moved hundreds of mountains and stands as strong as the mighty oak. When you look at them you think, “This is what love is supposed to be.” They set the bar and give hope to so many around them. They are the reason I still belive in love and marriage. I aspire to have a love as great as theirs and would consider myself lucky if I ever found a love half as great as theirs.

I never would have thought that this friendship that started from passing notes in class and doodling about boys to one another would be my most treasured and long-lived friendship. But it wasn’t hard, since, over time, I learned that Laveda is one of the most dedicated and loving people you will ever meet. When she decides to be loyal to someone, she will put her whole heart into it. I really could go on and on about how wonderful she is, and god knows I have many stories of our shenanigans, but I’ll save that for another time. We all know that Laveda and Terry are phenomenal individuals. But, together, they are unstoppable. They will have the marriage that everyone hopes for. They truly are a perfect match and I know that they will be able to ride the waves of life together as friends, as soulmates, and as husband and wife.
