We were just two kids doing what our parents said, and going to CCD every Sunday Morning. Matthew's long blonde hair and glasses caught my eye that first day and I never let it go. Middle School came and went as we were at different schools, but High School brought us back together with a gym study period together. The summer after High School Matthew and Owen and Matt's step-father Glenn were at the race track; long story short Owen ran over Matthew. Someone had to bring him to ER which is when I gladly volunteered and the rest has been history ever since...
We had just gotten home from Canada and were planning on surprising Matthew's friend Avery at the airport to celebrate his birthday in Nashville. It was Saturday, July 23rd and the four of us had just finished the Jack Daniels Distillery tour. We went back to our Air BNB to get ready for a night on the town. The Uber dropped us off on Broadway and Ashley took us to a beautiful spot to take pictures and right after we took pictures I turned around and Matthew was on one knee asking me to marry him with the biggest smile on his face. The easiest yes I have ever said.
