What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Attire is considered “formal”. We ask that all guests wear any shade of blue (navy blue, baby blue, aqua, blue-grey, consult blue, deep sky blue, turquoise, sapphire, teal, etc.) Any shade of blue can include solid colors, pattern, or floral design. For guidance, women look to a more relaxed version of a cocktail dress. Women should embrace wrap dresses, midi dresses, or below-the-knee dress. Evening gowns, however, would be inappropriate. Pair with thick heels, nice wedges, dressy sandals or formal flats. The ceremony is being held outdoors and you'll be walking across a lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass. For men, it's a daytime wedding, a light sport jacket, button-down shirt (long or short sleeve) and relaxed slacks/chinos in dark/light beige, cream, dark/light grey pants will fit the bill. Pair with formal shoes, no sneakers or sandals. Belts are recommended and shirts must be tucked in for photos. We ask that you do NOT wear any “black” in your clothing. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to ask.

What to wear to the Lū’au?

Answer

Hawaiian attire is always the way to go, which usually includes flowy/summer dresses, skirts, aloha shirts, shorts, sneakers and slippahs (or flip-flops). Any of these choices represents the islands well! The only thing we recommend avoiding would be beach clothes and white dresses. Come comfy and ready to eat & drink!
