Our Story

Lauryn and Harrison became close friends during their junior year of high school when they sat next to each other in their world history and pre-calculus classes. They clicked instantly, always making each other laugh. Harrison asked Lauryn on a date a few times, but she was nervous about dating and wanted to stay "just friends." Finally, Harrison suggested they simply go to Chick-fil-A and see a movie, promising it was not a date. Less than a month after that "not-a-date," they officially became a couple on January 10, 2020. Since then, their relationship has grown through significant chapters, such as attending UGA together, and in all the ordinary moments, like chatting in a Chick-fil-A booth. They are so grateful the Lord brought them together when He did, and for the love and friendship they share. Harrison proposed over Memorial Day weekend in 2024 while on vacation in Destin, Florida, with his family. During what Lauryn thought was a family photoshoot on the beach, he got down on one knee when she wasn’t looking and surprised her even more by having her whole family there to celebrate. Above all, their relationship is built on faith, prayer, and the steady grace of Jesus. They believe the Lord has written their love story from the beginning, and they’re so excited to begin this life together hand-in-hand! "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19
