We first met in 2019 at a small Fort Worth coffee shop during a live show. Devon, better known as Limbo, was on stage and Lauryn immediately noticed him. He looked cool and a little intimidating. After the set, a mutual friend, introduced us, and we went our separate ways. We crossed paths again in early 2020, right before the world shut down, but it wasn’t until 2021, when Lauryn moved just ten minutes away, that everything changed. What started as casual hangouts quickly became daily time together: backyard s’mores, anime nights, long conversations. On July 12, 2021, Devon asked Lauryn to be his girlfriend. At the center of our relationship has always been faith. Through Devon’s leadership, Lauryn grew closer to Christ, and on July 10, 2024, just two days before their third anniversary, Devon baptized her, marking one of the most sacred moments of their journey together. On October 19, 2025, Devon proposed at the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth, on a bridge overlooking the water. With a nervous smile he popped the question. Lauryn cried. Devon exhaled. And forever began. Together, they’re stepping into marriage as a covenant with each other and with God, ready to spend forever loving one another, ’til death do them part.
