Things To Do

There are plenty of vineyards and restaurants around Calistoga, so feel free to explore on your own. However, these are some of the places that stuck out to us, and a few places we were suggested that we look forward to going to!

Cafe Sarafornia

1413 Lincoln Ave, Calistoga, CA 94515

This place is a great spot for breakfast or brunch - Dan's favorite is the Huevos Rancheros and Lauryn's favorite is the Pancakes!!

Palisades Eatery

1414 Lincoln Ave, Calistoga, CA 94515

This place was recommended to us by a local and we LOVED it!!! Great burger, great pizza, great pasta. You can't go wrong!

Calistoga Thai Kitchen

1359 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga, CA 94515

We loved this Thai restaurant! We definitely recommend the Pad See Ew and the Thai Fried Rice. However - we recommend adding a little spice to whatever you get to give it a little more of a kick!

Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery | Calistoga, CA

1250 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga, CA 94515

We will be having our rehearsal dinner here, but that doesn't mean you can't go back! The food here is phenomenal, and their beer is brewed in house and is delicious! Every menu item is great - you truly can't go wrong.

Chateau Montelena

1429 Tubbs Lane, Calistoga, CA 94515

This winery put Napa Valley on the map worldwide. Their Chardonnay won the "Judgement of Paris" competition for white wines in 1976, and trust us, it's great. Tastings here are fun, the sommelier's are friendly and will tell you more about the history of not only Chateau Montelena, but of Calistoga!

Castello di Amorosa

4045 Saint Helena Highway, Calistoga, CA 94515

If you want to go back in time to Tuscany in medieval times, this is the place for you. Your tour will teach you about winemaking, but the castle was made the same way that historical castles in Italy were built. You end off the tour with a tasting in the cellar, but not before you see the dungeon and torture chamber with real armor and devices!

Sterling Vineyards

1111 Dunaweal Lane, Calistoga, CA 94515

We weren't able to make it here our last trip, but this vineyard came highly recommended. You take a gondola ride up to the top of a mountain, and enjoy a tasting overlooking the valley. Sounds beautiful!

The Petrified Forest

4100 Petrified Forest Road, Calistoga, CA 94515

This is a great opportunity for hiking. Right next to Hans Fahden, the petrified forest has the largest petrified trees in the world. Enjoy a hike or a tour, and enjoy some of the oldest trees in the world!

Solbar

755 Silverado Trail North, Calistoga, CA 94515

This is a higher end restaurant, so if you are thinking of treating yourself while on vacation, this is a great place to go!

Johnny's

1457 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga, CA 94515

For something a little more low-key, Johnny's is a local sports bar with great food and even better vibes!

Robert's Tropical Table Bar and Lounge

1457 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga, CA 94515

Also in downtown Calistoga, Robert's is widely known for their great cocktails and Jamaican jerk chicken!

Gott's St. Helena

933 Main Street, St. Helena, CA 94574

We were recommended this classic roadside diner as they allegedly have the best burger in the valley. We look forward to seeing if this is true!!!
