Anyone who knows Lauryn...also knows Danny. Siblings attached at the running shoes. Danny arguably knows Lauryn and Ben's relationship better than anyone else, because the three of them are always either adventuring, doing something athletically challenging or both. Before Lauryn agreed to go out on a date with Ben, it was Danny's dog Marcie who had to approve of Ben first. As you can assume, she did in fact approve. Ben remains the only person that Marcie squeals with excitement for every time she sees him. If this job could be split by human and dog, Marcie would be the Dog of Honor. Danny is just the man for this job! Watch out for his sweet moves on the dance floor.
Sarah Lewis (Normandin)

Sarah is Ben's amazing sister. When Lauryn first met Ben, he couldn't stop talking about how awesome his sister was. And when Lauryn got to meet Sarah for the first time, she completely understood what all the hype was about! Her laugh will fill up an entire room and make you smile! Not to mention, Sarah is just an incredibly nice and thoughtful human being. Ben and Lauryn try and see Sarah and her husband Zach as much as possible, because the 4 of them love adventuring together and always have a great time! Sarah played a large part in Ben's proposal and helped make it very special. Lauryn couldn't think of a better person to have as a future sister!
Allison DeMuro (Barnhart)

Allison is one of Lauryn's best friends from high school. Allison and Lauryn met through the tennis team freshman year and became friends instantly. Their friendship extended far beyond tennis, and the two of them spent all of high school planning fun get togethers, going to school dances, and going on trips with each others families. The Barnharts have always been special people in Lauryn's life! Allison is the life of every party and is sure to be an amazing hype woman at the wedding. If you get the chance to meet her, ask her about the one time she robbed Lauryn of the opportunity to finish her Panera bread bowl after a day long tennis meet...a grudge Lauryn still isn't willing to let go of. It's sure to make you laugh.
Caitlin Frawley

Caitlin was Lauryn's random roommate freshman year of college. They ended up liking each other so much, they lived together for the rest of their college years. Lauryn knew that Caitlin was a true friend when she let her consistently eat tuna in their dorm room and only mildly complained at the smell. Caitlin and Lauryn had all kinds of adventures in college and did everything together. Whether it was visiting their favorite cupcake shop Tamara's, going grocery shopping, going to the Appleton mall, or going to Culver's, they were always together. Caitlin has taken Lauryn to the ER more than anyone else, and has arguably saved her life on more than one occasion (seriously). She's one of a kind!
Elisabeth Loomis

Elisabeth is Lauryn's best childhood friend. They met in kindergarten and have been friends ever since. Growing up, Elisabeth always seemed to find her way to the Jashinsky household when spaghetti was for dinner. She was over so often, Lauryn's mom used to stock the cabinets with her favorites flavor blasted goldfish and sour skittles. Not to mention, when Elisabeth didn't find something she liked in the cabinets, she was sure to add it to the Jashinsky shopping list hanging on the fridge. As they grew older and school took them apart, they still always found a way to keep in touch. Elisabeth would come over every Christmas morning to have breakfast with the Jashinsky's when she was home. Elisabeth is saving the world as a doctor, so if you dance too hard and need some help, she's your girl!
Samantha Betlej

Sam is one of Lauryn's best friends from high school. Luckily for them, they had a lot of classes together freshman year and became fast friends. They bonded over their love of Christmas and celebrating it long before it's socially acceptable. Whether it was a night in making puppy chow or attending a football game or dance, they were always having fun. After college, Sam moved out of Madison for work and Lauryn moved to Madison! But in 2020, Sam moved back to Madison for grad school and they've been able to see each other a lot more! They've had a lot of awesome adventures, but I don't think any will top their New Years trip to NYC where they last minute found themselves with a hotel room in Times Square with a view of the Rockin' NYE Party. It doesn't get much more epic than that!
Cameron Gaulke
Best Man
Cam and Ben first met 30 years ago at Stafford Elementary School and have been friends ever since. The two grew up playing everything together: soccer, t-ball, basketball, cub scouts – you name, they tried it. Ben would spend countless nights over at Cam’s house playing super smash brothers, basketball on the sport court, and raiding the snack cabinet. Once the two reached high school, summer weekends were spent wakeboarding on the Willamette River and winters were spent racing down Mt Hood with the high school’s ski team. Cam and Ben both decided to attend the University of Oregon where they were freshman year roommates. To this day, Ben still finds himself showing up at Cam’s house to crash on his couch...Except now he brings Lauryn with too. :)
Zach Lewis
Groomsman
Zach is Ben’s brother in law and has been in the family for as long as Ben can remember. The two get along great, enjoying activities like running and tasting each IPA Portland has to offer. Zach has been a welcome addition to the family and an endless source of entertainment. The guy is as handy as they come and is always down for a quick hike in the Gorge, some good bbq, and of course visiting any new local pub. Zach has put up with Ben over the years, graciously keeping hold of items Ben has left by accident at his house or hasn’t had room to pack into his suitcase when flying back to Madison. Zach is not shy when it comes to the dance floor- I dare you to challenge him to a dance competition.
Karsten Smith
Groomsman
Karsten and Ben met their first week at Epic over 10 years ago while working in the same department. The two were roommates for 4 years, living between their downtown apartment and Karsten’s house on the west side of Madison. Ben finally did move out of Karsten's house... but couldn’t see himself living too far from Karsten, so he bought a house 1.5 miles down the road. Both Ben and Karsten enjoy working out. The two can often be found knocking out morning workouts at the Princeton Club or passing each other running around the neighborhood.
Ryan Jashinsky
Groomsman
Ryan is Lauryn’s oldest brother. When Ben first met Ryan over 7 years ago, he was impressed with how smart and quick witted Ryan was! And to that, Ryan has not changed! Luckily Ryan only lives 3 miles from Ben and Lauryn, so the two get to spend time with Ryan and his family (Annika, Caroline, and Tessa) all the time. Ryan is extremely generous and has helped Lauryn and Ben out numerous times with various house projects and lending out his gadgets and tools. Ask Ryan about his "chonchos" if you get a chance or his home made beer. Ryan and Ben have come up with countless future endeavors/business plans...unsure if they will ever come to fruition, but you never know!
Michael Batty
Groomsman
Michael and Ben met in College through their Fraternity. The two studied abroad in Denmark where they became great friends. With class Tuesday through Thursday, the two spent every weekend backpacking through various countries in Europe and living off 7-11 sandwiches and cheap beer. The two have since continued their travel adventures but have upgraded the sandwiches and beer choices, finding a few long weekends a year to meet up on the west coast for some skiing and less cheap libations. Much like Caitlin did for Lauryn, Batty has had the privilege of accompanying Ben to the ER on numerous occasions, always making sure he is well taken care of. Thanks Batty!
Greg Zimet
Groomsman
Greg and Ben met at the U of O during rush week for the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Greg and Ben became friends and Greg spent a few long nights on the futon of room 442 (Cam and Ben’s dorm). The rest is history. Greg unofficially moved into the dorm room, spending countless nights on the futon. He even got his own single dresser drawer. The cost – Cam and Ben benefited from Greg’s large meal plan, using all his extra meal points on Saturdays and Sundays. Although living over 1900 miles apart, the two have oddly met up on numerous occasions through work in random cities around the United States where the two have tried to find the world’s best dumpling restaurant. Work is still in progress!
Jake Latus
Usher
Jake is Lauryn's cousin! Growing up, they did everything together. Not only are they the same age, they went to the same schools from Kindergarten through High School. Lauryn's childhood is filled with tons of fond memories with Jake. Maybe some not so fond ones too... like having to have joint family parties for every milestone in their lives. Just kidding :) Lauryn is honored to have shared all of life's big moments together. Jake got married a few years ago and Lauryn was honored to stand by his side for yet another one of life's milestones. Now that it is Lauryn's turn, she is excited to have Jake there to help her and Ben celebrate!
Stephen Bain
Usher
Stephen and Ben met while both living together with Karsten. The two both agree they became “best friends” after a long night out in Madison. It all started while watching Butler basketball. The two then proceeded to meet “the tall guy” (one of Ben’s co-workers) downtown for a few drinks...where more than a few drinks were consumed. After that, the two formed a lifelong relationship. Stephen has helped coach Ben over the years to help him reach his running goals as Stephen is a fantastic running coach! Ben hopes that with Stephen’s coaching skills, he can one day qualify for the Boston Marathon. Fortunately for Ben, and maybe unfortunate for Stephen, he only lives two blocks away so he can’t hide when Ben wants to hang out. :)
James Latus

James is Lauryn's uncle! James lives in New York City, and is a stage manager who has a very impressive resume, including many popular Broadway shows! When Lauryn was finally old enough to visit her "Uncle Jim" in New York, she finally got to see the big city! And ever since, she gets out there at least once a year to see him and see whatever show he is working on. Ben just so happened to be going to New York very frequently for work when he and Lauryn met, and he continued to do so for years into their relationship. When he was there, he often went to visit James at his apartment and they'd talk for hours over a few glasses of wine. Ben has seen James more in the last 7 years than Lauryn has! Ben and Lauryn are excited to have James as their officiant. Not only has been an amazing Uncle for Lauryn's whole life, he warmly welcomed Ben into the family years ago and has gotten to be a part of their relationship over the years. There is no doubt he will deliver an AMAZING ceremony, full of love and true understanding of Ben and Lauryn's relationship.
Caroline Jashinsky
Flower Girl and Ring Princess
Caroline is Lauryn's oldest niece and Goddaughter. Luckily for Ben and Lauryn, Caroline lives just a few miles away! She loves to create beautiful artwork for Ben and Lauryn's refrigerator and never misses an opportunity to tell them she loves them! She's a sweetheart who is THRILLED to be wearing a beautiful dress for the wedding. She can't wait to walk down the isle as a flower girl AND a ring princess. Both her and her sister Tessa love to dance. You can be sure to see the two of them dominating the dance floor with cuteness!
Tessa Jashinsky

Tessa is Lauryn's youngest niece! Tessa is full of energy and is sure to give you a good laugh! She never misses an opportunity to tell Uncle Ben he should mow his lawn or tell Auntie Lolo she'd like some macarons. Tessa is also very excited to be wearing a fun dress for the wedding, and she has been practicing her dance moves with her sister Caroline every chance she gets.
Madison Smith
Flower Girl
Madison is the daughter of groomsman Karsten and his wife Abbey! Ben and Lauryn get to see Madison all the time! She especially loves to run around with Uncle Ben and convince Auntie Lolo she needs to play with her instead of hanging out with the adults. It just so happens that Ben and Lauryn's first date was Karsten and Abbey's rehearsal dinner for their wedding, some 7 years ago. And now their daughter is a flower girl in Ben and Lauryn's wedding. Things really do come full circle!
