Aaron moved from New York City to Eugene, Oregon to start his dental career. It was a big lifestyle change. Laurisa was in her final term of Dental Hygiene school, spending weekends studying hard. Both were busy with limited free time but looking for someone to share life with. They met online when Aaron sent Laurisa a bold message: “We would make a power couple.” She replied, “We definitely would!” Soon after, they planned their first date at a local restaurant, where they talked for hours and maybe had a little too much wine. Laurisa left that night knowing she had to see Aaron again. His adventurous outlook on life and curiosity about the world were captivating. The two started dating on December 4, 2021, during Aaron’s birthday trip to Portland. While Laurisa prepared for her board exams, their dates involved Aaron quizzing her and making her meals. After Laurisa graduated, they moved to Portland together, enjoying the food scene and hiking with their dogs. Later, Aaron got a job offer in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they lived for 2 years. Since moving, they’ve traveled to several countries and even returned to Hawaii, where Aaron proposed in September 2024. Now, they’ve moved back to Portland Oregon and are excited to plan their wedding for September 2026 and can’t wait to celebrate with their favorite people!
