Answer

Black-Tie Wedding Dress Code For the Ladies: Formal floor-length gown paired with heels or dressy flats. For the Men: Tuxedo. A black bow tie, black vest or cummerbund are also suggested.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors. We are having the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Angel Orensanz Foundation.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30pm. We advise our guests to leave a little extra time for travel. The Lower East Side (specifically Houston Street) is a high-traffic area, parking can be tough, and frequently there is construction.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We have one plea, please keep our ceremony camera, cell phone and electronic free. We've hired professional photographers and cinematographers to capture this special moment, so please let us be the first to share ceremony pictures as the new Mr. and Mrs. Allen. Though our "i do's" are unplugged, our cocktail hour and reception is not. We highly encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. We have quite a number of surprises along the way for our guests throughout the evening which are very insta-story worthy. Our only request is that you tag each photo so we can keep track of all your pictures and stories!!!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be a 21+ adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I pick my table?

Answer

Long story short - No. A lot of careful thought has gone into devising the table seating arrangements. Trust that we put you by someone you know, or someone you have a few things in common with!

Question

Can I give a toast?

Answer

Oh, you’re bold for this one! We kindly ask that you refrain from rowdy, free-wielding speeches about that one time (or many times) the groom and/or bride did something ridiculous...

Question

Wedding day texts?

Answer

This one isn’t a question but it’s a good rule to follow: Unless there’s an emergency, we kindly ask that you refrain from texting us congratulations our wedding day. It’s a lovely gesture, but we will have so much on our plate the day of, the last thing we want to do is insult you by not responding!

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
