Laurie and Dave spent years living just across the street from each other, exchanging friendly waves and neighborly chats. Over time, those conversations became longer, the laughs a little louder and one day Laurie decided to invite Dave over for dinner. Dave, ever the cautious gentleman, wasn’t quite sure if it was just a casual meal or something more. (Spoiler: it was definitely something more.) That one dinner turned into countless more, and the neighbors across the street became the couple down the aisle.
It was a perfect evening on the beach. The sun was setting, the waves were rolling in, and waiting for them was a giant heart of roses with glowing letters that spelled out “Marry Me.” It looked like something straight out of a fairytale. Laurie and Dave stood in front of it, smiled for a picture, and… well, that’s about as far as the story goes. Because here’s the truth: it wasn’t actually ours. The setup belonged to someone else’s proposal. But hey, it made for a great photo! And in true Laurie and Dave fashion, we didn’t need anything elaborate. We already knew the answer was yes.
