We're getting married!

It took years for Tyler and Lauren to go on a date. They will both joke about how they turned each other down a lot but will also admit that there was always a spark. The timing never seemed right. At one point, Lauren related their situation to the song Dos Oruguitas which talks about two caterpillars who must spend time apart in order to grow before reuniting as butterflies. This was her way of reassuring Tyler that he was her person, but they both have some growing to do first. They now have an affinity for butterflies and the song, Dos Oruguitas. Whether Tyler was living in PA or NJ, they would always stay in touch. It started with Instagram DMs and progressed to texts and even emails. Tyler would review Lauren’s fantasy football team and check in during March Madness to see how her bracket was doing. Lauren even made a bracket ranking the best Disney movies which Tyler excitedly circulated to his family. Tyler’s commitment to his family was one thing Lauren admired most about him. Throughout their years of talking, they realized they shared similar values and interests. Finally, fate would bring these two together in Westfield, NJ. Lauren decided to take off from work to treat herself to a spa day in Westfield. Tyler so happened to reach out the day before. When he found out that Lauren would be in his town, he quickly took time off from work and arranged a date at Addam’s Tavern. They went out for lunch and the rest is history.
