In 2018, Lauren and her friend, Amanda, were visiting friends at UW Oshkosh, while Collin was in town visiting his friend Ed. Before heading out for the night, Lauren and her friends were hanging out in the dorms. Collin had heard that “some girls from Green Bay” were visiting and was asked if he wanted to meet them. He agreed and that’s when he and Lauren met for the very first time. Later that day, they exchanged Snapchats. Not long after, Lauren realized she had accidentally left her water bottle behind. She asked Collin if he could drop it off on his way back to UW Green Bay, where they were both students. When Collin showed up and saw Lauren wearing a Packers jersey, he instantly knew she was a keeper. They soon began talking more and planned their first date: a walk around the UW Green Bay campus. Their second date took them to the Dough Shoppe, where they ended up talking for hours. Over the next few months, they grew closer and officially began dating on December 14, 2018. During their time at UW Green Bay, they made countless memories together attending Packers games, exploring Door County, taking long walks through the arboretum, playing intramural volleyball, spending late nights studying in the library (mostly Lauren—Collin was a business major), and enjoying weekend outings with friends. Collin graduated in 2020, and Lauren followed a year later. After graduation, Collin moved to Sheboygan for a job with Acuity Insurance, while Lauren was accepted into dental school at Marquette University in Milwaukee. During this time, they loved exploring both Sheboygan and Milwaukee visiting the beach, playing tennis, and trying new restaurants. Their shared love for traveling led them on many adventures, including trips to England, Scotland, the Dominican Republic, a Caribbean cruise, Puerto Rico, and Spain. Through it all, one thing remained consistent: their love for the Packers. Thanks to Collin’s family’s season tickets, they attended many games together and even set a goal to watch the Packers play in every NFL stadium. That goal sparked a last-minute trip in October 2024 to Jacksonville, Florida, for the Jaguars vs. Packers game. They spent two days at Margaritaville on Jacksonville Beach and two days in downtown Jacksonville. What Lauren didn’t know was that Collin had been planning a proposal. On the second day of the trip, after a relaxing afternoon in the sun, they got ready for dinner. Collin suggested taking sunset photos on the beach using a “tripod from Acuity," which was really just a tripod with an Acuity sticker on it. After taking several pictures, he quietly switched the camera to video and asked Lauren to marry him. She said yes, of course. That night, she proudly showed off her new ring and even shared the news with a bar full of Packers fans, who cheered for them. Today, Lauren and Collin call Milwaukee area home, where they continue to enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, taking long walks, and going to concerts and events together.
