We had planned on having a small ceremony and reception for our families and closest friends – until the coronavirus hit. With everything in the air and no end in sight, we don't want to wait to be married. (Plus, it's a good time to share healthcare!) But we didn't want to celebrate without our loved ones. So we're compromising. We'll stream the ceremony and plan a party when we can all be together. Find more details on "The Plan"
We met in July 2014 while working at SPARC, a software development start up. Despite Mike flirting incessantly, it all went over Lauren's head. On Lauren's last day at SPARC, Mike sent her a text wishing her well and suggesting they do lunch sometime. They didn't.. Until September 23, 2016 when Lauren and Mike crossed paths at a free show at the Music Farm. They sat outside to catch up and talked about art, museums, books – and missed the entire show. Lauren's was having people over for her brother, Ian, who was in town from college, and invited Mike. After a night spent laughing, Ian said: "I think he's alright." The rest is history.
