Our Story

We met at Vanderbilt in our engineering sorority and started dating during Lauren's senior year & Kelly's sophomore year. We took our first trip together to Turks and Caicos in March 2018.

Our first date was at Chuy's, but our favorite date location is the Bluebird Cafe.

After Lauren graduated, we navigated a long distance relationship while Lauren was at Stanford and Kelly was still at Vanderbilt.

Lauren surprised Kelly for her birthday in September 2018 by visiting Kelly in Nashville and getting tickets to see Ed Sheeran.

Before Lauren officially left California, Kelly visited for a road trip along the coast in December 2018, starting in Napa at our first wine tasting together.

We rang in 2019 together at Disneyland during our road trip along the California coast.

Lauren moved back to Nashville in January 2019 and Kelly helped her find and adopt Allie a few weeks later. Best day ever (till the wedding)!

Kelly officially moved in with Lauren when Covid forced her out of her dorm in the spring of her senior year, 2020.

Lauren bought a condo in April 2020. This was home to many service dogs in training over the years.

We adopted Zoey after Kelly's graduation in June 2020.

This trip to Gatlinburg in November 2021 included one of our many waterfall visits over the years.

We took a trip to Ireland with Kelly's parents in May 2022 to celebrate her graduation (better late than never, boo Covid!).

We bought our first house together in June 2022 and adopted Cooper later that year.

We went to Vegas to see Adele for our five year anniversary in February 2023 and took a day trip to the Grand Canyon.

We spent a week in Yellowstone National Park in September 2023, seeing bison, geysers, hot springs, waterfalls, and more!

We got engaged on January 29, 2024 at home, with the help of the dogs, of course!

We took a trip to Hawaii to celebrate our engagement in February 2024.

In March 2024 we visited Iceland with Lauren's dad and brother.

Catch us during basketball season cheering for the Vanderbilt women's team!

We have enjoyed spending the last few Thanksgivings with Lauren's family and the dogs at the beach in Hilton Head.
