Flight
DCA is the closest airport to town and located on the Yellow & Blue lines. This will be easiest to travel to/from but may not have as many flights options as Dulles.
Flight
IAD will have more flight options but is further away from the city. You can take a cab/Uber or take the Silver Line Express bus to the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station into DC.
Train
Oh, WMATA. We love and hate you. All in all, it will be the cheapest and most reliable way to get around the city if you are interested in sightseeing. Let us know if you have any questions!
