General Information

The Wedding Website of Lauren Peacock and Collin McCullough
Below find a few tips to make the wedding day as seamless as possible.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 29th, 2022. A final headcount will help us achieve peace of mind ahead of the big day and set appropriate expectations for our vendors.

Question

Will the Wedding be Outside?

Answer

The wedding will be held on Collin's Parent's property (thank you Mark and Deena!). The expectation - weather permitting - is to hold the wedding on the lawn next to the house. The reception is also located on the property and will take place in both an enclosed tent and a finished barn. We suggest you choose your footwear accordingly (high heels are not the best bet) and to be mindful and prepared in case someone in your party has a bee or wasp allergy (likelihood of being stung is low, but take it from Mark who is allergic to wasps, it can happen!).

Question

What is Late September Weather Like in The North Country?

Answer

Late September weather at this latitude can be variable and it would be wise to pack for the different seasons. By this point in the early fall the summer heat will have abated and we are anticipating comfortable temperatures during the day with a mild cool off at night. We suggest you bring a layer and check the weather ahead of the date. Please do us both a solid and do a warm weather and sunshine dance! Autumn in the Adirondacks provides beautiful foliage and the air is crisp, but this is the North Country after all and the weather can be unpredictable.

Question

Will There Be Parking for The Ceremony / Reception?

Answer

There will be a limited amount of parking spots available on the property. A parking crew will be on site to help you find an appropriate spot on that day. Parking will be alongside the road, on a cul-de-sac adjacent to the reception area, and on cleared acreage near the barn. To reiterate, we suggest choosing appropriate footwear and suggest that you consider the clearance of the vehicle you will be driving to the wedding. Finally *and most importantly* if you choose to drive to the wedding and plan on imbibing, please, please, please, plan on having a designated driver to transport you home safely. Even better, consider taking the bus transportation we are providing so both members of your party can get down and cut a rug with us!

Question

Is There Transportation to and from The Hotel to the Ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing guest transportation to and from The Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh. Pickup and Drop off schedule are as follows: Pick up at Hampton Inn - 2:45 pm 1st Bus Departs - 9:00 pm 2nd Bus Departs - 10:00 pm Final Bus Departs - 11:00 pm We strongly suggest that as many guests as possible choose this transportation option. You are the people closest to us and your safety is paramount.

Question

Is Uber/Lyft Available In Your Area?

Answer

There are a limited amount of rides in our area on any given night. While they technically exist, we suggest that you do not rely on them (unless as a last resort) for transportation home. No one wants that stress in their life.

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

We kindly ask that you make other arrangements for your kiddos on this day. Hey, we get it, your kids are cute and we love them too. This rule is more for you as the parents and ensuring that you are allowed to have as much fun as possible. So call up granny & reserve that sitter in advance, there is mirth and revelry to be had.

Question

What Type of Food Should We Expect?

Answer

We're glad you asked! In order to cater to our guest's different tastes we will have two different food vendors on site. Directly following the ceremony Anthony's Restaurant & Bistro will be catering cocktail hour, serving up fine dining American-European cuisine. Following Cocktails, we will have Open Hearth Pizza on site, slinging slices and serving up a fresh salad. Dinner will be more casual and is serve yourself. Don't worry you can come back for as many slices as you want!

Question

Do I Need to Bring Cash?

Answer

We strongly suggest that you bring some smaller bills to the wedding. There will be an open bar on site and the bartender will be hard at work keeping you well lubricated. Coming from Collin, who always seems to forget to bring cash to weddings, don't be that guy. Tip your bartender!
