A lovely walk if the weather is nice
About a 40 minute drive from Dodford is Bletchley Park where the Enigma code was broken during WWII. Bletchly Park is now home to the WWII Code-Breaking Museum and the National Museum of Computing, as well as Bletchley Park Stately Home and Mansion.
A short drive from the venue is Northampton City centre where you can do some shopping or just general wandering around
A bit further afield is the National Space Centre in Leicester, a very interesting, out of this world experience
For those wanting to venture further, there is Bradgate park a lovely nature reserve with wild deer roaming and ruins of Bradgate House the childhood home to Lady Jane Grey, Queen of England for 9 days. Has a Tarmac path as well as paths through the park. We highly recommend this to those who like walks and wildlife.
A tranquil Tudor manor house set in rare terraced gardens
For the golfers, there is an 18 hole championship standard golf course at the De Vere Staverton Estate Hotel
