Before We Met Zach likes to say he fell for Lauren before they even met. One day in middle school, he was scrolling through Facebook and saw a picture of her in a Halloween costume. He immediately thought, "This girl is super cute — I need to find out who she is." Even though we both attended the same middle school, we never crossed paths. It wasn't until freshman year of high school that Zach finally met Lauren in person. ⸻ How We Met Our story starts back in high school, where we met through a mutual friend and quickly became friends. During freshman year, we studied biology together — although our version of “studying” often ended in a movie or a serious game of Mario Kart. By sophomore year, we were on the same swim team and would often flirt after practice while waiting for our moms to pick us up ... teenage romance at its finest! That year, Zach asked Lauren to go to Sophomore Cotillion. ⸻ The Reunion After high school, life took us in different directions. We ran into each other halfway through college at a birthday party, where Zach bought Lauren a Long Island Iced Tea (an unforgettable move), but the timing still wasn’t quite right. Then, on June 27, 2021, fate stepped in. We were both out with high school friends and ended up at the same bar (so Lauren thought) — Wild Wild West in Atlantic City. Lauren locked eyes with Zach, and with a spark in her eye and no hesitation, she walked right over to him and started chatting. We talked, we laughed, we kissed… and just like that, the spark reignited. Lauren found out later that year that Zach actually knew Lauren was going to that bar that night and he went there because of her, but he waited for her to make the first move! ⸻ The Summer We Fell in Love After that night, we were inseparable. We spent nearly every day of that summer together, falling in love at the Jersey shore. From sunset strolls to ice cream runs and staying up way too late talking, it was the kind of summer you never forget. What started as a chance reunion turned into our forever — Zach proposed in Paris on the Seine River on March 20th, 2025. We blinked and before we knew it our wedding was planned and we are getting married! We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you at the Jersey shore ... where we fell in love.
