Once upon a time, There were two content individuals living their best lives. Little did they know their lives could get even better. One connection, one dinner and now one love. Zachary Blume moved into Glenmere Lake congregation which happened to be Lauren’s also. Time passed and each noticed little things about the other. The kindness to the friends, the love of people, the deep study of the scriptures. One day Lauren prayed before the assembly for just the “opportunity to meet someone kind” little did she know that prayer would be answered that very day. Zach saw Lauren across the assembly hall and jokingly said to a friend “we should sit by Lauren Gunneson”…chuckles….little did he know he would be siting in the row just in front of her. Funny how things were working out. Little cute things happened all day and then it was dinner time. The restaurant was full, not a seat in sight, yet, somehow a seat opened up right across from Zach and Lauren sat there. It was over after that…the connection was immediate, unlike anything either had felt before. Loads of laughs, good conversation and some good food. What more could one want?! That night Zach wanted to find out about this girl, he was intrigued. Lauren was leaving for a big trip the very next day and would be gone for 3 weeks. Zach found out this was not a girl nor a connection he wanted to lose. Lauren also found herself thinking about Zach on her trip, looking forward to coming home to see him again and hopefully continue their connection. The week she returned from her trip they saw each other again at meeting… “welcome home sister Gunneson” he says as he gives her a side hug. It was also when the northern lights were visible in New York. A group from the Hall went to a field to watch and what do you know…they had a blast together. After that evening, they spent every weekend together for a month until Zach decided it was time to ask the girl out. They began courting and having the best of memories. From diner dates, to winter hikes, to gilead graduation, to trips to NC, California, and Georgia for Zach’s special talk. These two knew this was a life they wanted to continue together forever. On April 18th Zach decided to surprise her with a question and a beautiful ring and now their love will be in full BLUME August 16th 2025. The end.
