Anthony's Market
Located on the historic Murff Row in downtown West Point, Anthony's is a name synonymous with fine food for over fifty years. Founded in 1936 as a humble meat market known as the Anthony and Wilson Grocery, it has become a world-class restaurant that still proudly bears the name Anthony's. Anthony's has become the place for friends from the surrounding area to meet and relax while enjoying some of the best food in the South. Always popular with students from MSU, Anthony's has accommodated students and their families from all parts of the world. Families and businesses in the Golden Triangle area have made it a tradition to treat their visiting friends and clients to a night at Anthony's--where the South showcases fine southern and creative continental cuisine.
Jubilations Coffee House
Jubilations Cheesecake Coffee House is more than just a place to get a slice of cheesecake, a great cup of coffee, or even a sandwich. It's a place for friends to gather. As owner Mr. George Purnell says, "We're in the hospitality business." Make sure to try William's favorite cheesecake flavor (Cookies & Cream with Oreo) or Lauren's personal must-have (Mississippi Mud). Jubilations conveniently sells and ships whole cakes, too, because we promise...you can't stop at just one slice. Make sure say hello to general manager Mrs. Carol (a childhood and lifelong friend to Lauren's mom Debbie) when you stop in!
Petal Pushers
Owner Scott Reed has been a family friend since before Lauren was born...in fact, his first job was in West Point's famous Hill's Department store, owned and operated by her beloved late grandparents. It was no surprise to the family when Scott opened up his own business and flourished Petal Pushers into the powerhouse it is today. From the White House in Washington, D.C. to the Mississippi Governor's mansion, Scott has decorated it all - and won many awards doing it! Lauren jokes the only three things she knew for certain at the start of wedding planning were: 1) the groom, 2) the dress, and 3) that Scott HAD to be the florist! Give he and his lovely team a visit while you're in town to shop his gift section and take home a souvenir from West Point!
Rose Gift Company
Rose Drug Company had been a staple in West Point for decades for both its pharmacy and gift shop. When Connie, Gayle, and Andy decided it was time to close Rose Drug Company after an impressive 60+ years, the Stevens family (longtime supporters of the local Growth Alliance and Main Street Association) stepped in to preserve the vitality of our darling downtown West Point by re-opening as Rose Gift Company and building upon the fine reputation of Rose Drug Company. Stop in and say hello to see the newly refurbished space!
Culin-Arts
Culin-Arts owner Ms. Valeda Carmichael offers everything from kitchen tools, bakeware, cookware, cutting boards and baskets to pottery, paintings, barware, hats and jewelry. She specializes in procuring top-of-the-line culinary gifts and Mississippi-made products in her store. She is a longtime supporter of the artists of the Golden Triangle (which includes West Point, Columbus, and Starkville), showcasing locally-crafted pottery, jewelry, and original paintings. Go visit and don't forget to say an extra special hello to Lauren's favorite store employee: Ms. Valeda's rescued pint-sized shih tzu, Puddin'Tain!
Magnolia's @ the Ritz
Once an abandoned 1930s movie theatre, this historic landmark is now a center of activity. Magnolia's at the Ritz offers a unique dining experience in a nostalgic setting. Make sure to try Lauren's favorite side - the broccoli salad!
Old Waverly Golf Club
The Golf Clubs of Mississippi (Mossy Oak and Old Waverly) are the only golf destination experience in the Mid South with two Top 100 Courses ranked by both Golf Digest and Golfweek. Here, golfers enjoy two highly distinct, world-class golf courses located just across the street from one another, but in a tranquil Mississippi Black Prairie setting that feels worlds apart from anything you've experienced before. Since its founding in 1988, Old Waverly has been highly regarded as one of the truly unique private clubs across all of America. U.S. Open winner Jerry Pate and course designer Bob Cupp were enlisted to craft the golf course from the undeveloped nature of 360 acres of pasture. At Mossy Oak Golf Club, the combined philosophies of the George Bryan family, course architect Gil Hanse, and the leading outdoor brand Mossy Oak deliver a full-sensory experience that truly immerses players into the native habitat and natural surroundings of the Mississippi Black Prairie. Prairie Wildlife is a premier conservation-driven sporting estate offering hunts, clay shoots, corporate outings and more. Mossy Oak Store

Black Prairie Blues Museum
West Point is the birthplace of the legendary blues giant--the Howlin' Wolf! Come visit the Black Prairie Blues Museum to learn about the history of the blues as well as see priceless memorabilia such as Howlin' Wolf and Hubert Sumlin's guitars and harps, as well as Pete Townshend and Kenny Wayne Shepard's guitars. Come and howl with the Wolf by visiting the statue, mural and Mississippi Blues Trail Marker, too!
Tennessee Williams House Museum & Welcome Center
Visit the first home of legendary Pulitzer-Prize-winning American playwright Tennessee Williams, known for a string of successes including The Glass Menagerie (1944) - Lauren's personal favorite, thanks to her cherished high school English teacher! - as well as A Streetcar Named Desire (1947) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1955). This 1875 Victorian home is a true historical and literary landmark.
