Things To Do

When not celebrating with us, explore our cherished Chicago! Some ideas:
Downtown:
- Art Institute; Cloudgate (aka “The Bean”, by Kapoor); Architecture tours via Chicago Architecture Foundation; Chicago Cultural Center (Look for Tiffany domes)
Some of Chicago's 77 neighborhoods!
- Pilsen: Wonderful food, public art, bookstores, mostly along 18th Street. Of note: National Museum of Mexican Art.
- Andersonville/Uptown & Ravenswood/Lincoln Square: Great stores and restaurants. Pop over to the lake, and Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary. Great skyline views!
- Wicker Park/Bucktown, and Logan Square: Fun shops, food, vintage stores. Go walk the 606, a reclaimed train line, now a pedestrian path.
- The Obama Library is opening in June. Likely very busy, but Hyde Park neighborhood/UChicago campus are lovely.
- The White Sox are in town, vs. the A’s. The Cubs are out of town.
