We are excited to see everyone this coming May, 2025

Lauren and Watson matched online when her apartment was less than a mile away from Watson’s work. Lauren asked Watson if he thought the covid stimulus checks were going to make an impact. Lauren then proceeded to ghost Watson for over a month until they reconnected. Our “meet and greet” was a walk on the North Augusta greenway and many of our early dates included nature walks at surrounding parks including Magnolia Springs, Mistletoe, Watson Mill Bridge, and Congaree to name a few. Our first trip as a couple was to Savannah, Georgia where our Jameson + pickleback tradition was established at Pinkie Masters! Watson enjoyed introducing Lauren to southern culture which included Georgia football, cheese straws, and how to pronounce peCAN properly while Lauren shared her interests of nature, cats, and home improvement projects. Over the years we have traveled with friends and together all over the world from the Bahamas to Australia. From the Redneck Riviera to Riviera Maya. We are looking forward to many more adventures exploring our new (to Watson) state and travels abroad as well. 2023 led to by far the most change in our relationship when Lauren accepted a new position at the VA Hospital in Phoenix. This would be Lauren's second stint in Phoenix as she lived there from 2014-2019 before moving to Augusta. With a post tax season trip to Myrtle Beach with friends completed, Watson and Lauren drove straight from the beach to Phoenix in two and a half days for Lauren to get settled in for her new job. Along the way we saw lots of our country's fly over states (boring) and managed our full days of driving with two cats in the car. Not to mention the task of smuggling cats into hotels. And no not all pet friendly hotels are cat friendly. Very discriminatory we believe. After postponing an early summer trip to Cottonwood, AZ, Lauren and Watson were engaged when Watson proposed at the DA Ranch winery in northern Arizona. Weeks later we closed on our home in Phoenix. We have been staying busy exploring our new neighborhood, attending Coyotes games (RIP), and getting on with renovations to our new home. We even added another member to our family in November: our dog Sydney! From moving in together in late 2021 to relocating to Phoenix in 2023, the last 18 months have been a whirlwind. Between moving 2,000 miles, buying a house and getting engaged wedding planning was something that we were having difficulty setting aside time to plan for. With that in mind we decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony at Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. Lauren's friend Lisa officiated as we were surrounded by friends Katie and Chris and parents, Tommy, Vicki, John, and Kris. We look forward to celebrating our marriage with you!
