Here's to the next chapter

Our story started at Sonoma State. Depending on who you ask, either during a dorm room screening of A Troll in Central Park, or a spontaneous wrestling match at a house party. The truth is somewhere in the middle. (It’s still hotly debated.) After a few poor attempts at playing coy, we had our first date at El Rancho Taqueria. Lauren ordered enchiladas, and Tyler ordered… well, a lifetime of enchilada dates. That night we couldn't stop laughing together, and really, we haven't stopped since. Before our first official home in 2020, we lived in 1.5 apartments (don't ask) with our forever roomie Julia (now our Matron of Honor). Here we built pillow forts, braved the fires, and laid the groundwork for our lives. Soon after we adopted Roo, then Maximillian, our children and recipients of any inheritance we have to give. We also have pet fish and feed a very friendly neighborhood cat we call Sylvia. That is almost certainly not her name. Together, we’ve created a home, traveled the world, pursued our careers, conquered the FeBREWary Beer Passport three years running, become karaoke (and carpool karaoke) stars, and shared our beautiful families. We believe we're better together, and are all about compromise: Lauren pretends to care about baseball, Tyler pretends not to love Bravo shows. Tyler proposed under the redwoods to Queen’s "You’re My Best Friend," and that about sums it up. The chapters before have been full of joy, curiosity, themed nights, margaritas, hikes, road trips, and quiet mornings at home with cats in our laps. We can't wait to see what's next. A million thanks to our families, friends who might as well be family, and steadfast community. It's a treasure to celebrate with those we love the most. We'll never forget sharing this moment with you! Here's to the next chapter, and all there is to come.
