How We Met Story Written by Lauren We met in 2020 when we both had a government class together in our last semester of our senior year of high school. Funny enough we had gone to the same elementary, middle, and high school and never talked. My friends in middle school had a crush on him, but I didn't even know who he was.....that was until government class. He was the typical disruptive kid that slept in class, interrupted the teacher, and talked when he wasn't supposed to. I did my homework, respected the teacher, but still talked to friends when I should've been listening to the lecture. I told my friends in my class that he was cute and they pushed me to talk to him. Instead of doing that made him add me on snapchat by posting it on my Instagram story. After he added me on snapchat we talked everyday. We would talk about who was better at bowling, what our favorite colors is, favorite food, and so on. All the basic questions. We made a bet on who was better at bowling and that led us to our first date. Our first date was at Coulee Golf Bowl in Onalaska. It was the week that Covid was announced and schools were closing for 2 weeks. We went on our first date on February 15th, 2020. We started with 2 rounds of very awkward bowling since it was our first time meeting and talking in person. After the second round and him winning the first and I took the second game, we played a total of 5 games. It came out at an even tie, he won 2 and I won 2 and we tied on the last game. Shortly after he met my family and I met his. Leading to many many adventures together. Taking our first flight and flying to Arizona with my family for vacation. Introducing Tristan to his love of roller coasters, no matter how scary looking they are. Camping with his brother and girlfriend, and of course the dogs. So many memories with friends, family, and more to come. We made it through working at Walmart together, me going to College, moving in together and then moving twice now, getting our fur child Ryder, and much more. Our family is complete......for now. Now to say "I do", make it official and do the rest of our time on this earth together.
