Lauren and Travis's story began like every great story, with an awkward introduction and the decision to hug or high five. In the end the young couple, who weren't even friends yet, decided on a handshake. You see, their pairing was an annual tradition of "bigs" and "littles", a mentor ship between Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. Where an active take a prospective member into their band family. Normally these bonds only last a season, but for Lauren and Travis it was different. It wasn't love at first sight, but rather a happy happinestance that laid the foundation for two roads to converge, for two lives to become one, and for true to blossom. You know the kind of love that I am talking about, not Disney princess kiss of a stranger but more along the lines of gazing at the stars and feeling at home with each other,. Helping take care of each other when they are sick. Inside jokes and playful stares. Picking each other up when your feeling down and supporting each other achieve their purpose in life. Anyway, I digress, its so hard to stay on track when the emotions start bubbling up. Travis was the assistant candidate trainer for Kappa Kappa Psi, which meant that he could not receive a little brother through his fraternity. So he poured all his attention into the sweetest person he had ever met. Lauren Elizabeth St. Tours. They were an unlikely friendship, polar opposites in many aspects really. Just enough in common to keep it interesting. Waving in the hallway turned into talking, talking turned into hanging out, and hanging out turned into constant texting and the occasional phone call.
