Capri
A few minute ferry ride away! Capri, an island in Italy’s Bay of Naples, is famed for its rugged landscape, upscale hotels and shopping, from designer fashions to limoncello and handmade leather sandals. In summer, Capri's dramatic, cove-studded coastline draws many yachts.
Mount Vesuvius
Mount Vesuvius is a somma-stratovolcano located on the Gulf of Naples in Campania, Italy, about 9 km east of Naples and a short distance from the shore.
Pompeii
Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The preserved site features excavated ruins of streets and houses that visitors can freely explore.
Amalfi Coast
Tours through the Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello). The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and clifftop Sorrento winds past grand villas, terraced vineyards and cliffside lemon groves.
Blue Grotto
The Blue Grotto is a sea cave on the coast of the island of Capri, southern Italy. Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater, creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern.
Sorrento
Sorrento is a coastal town in southwestern Italy, facing the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, it’s known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic center is a warren of narrow alleys that's home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister (where we will be getting married!)
Bay Of Ieranto
Sorrento, Italy is often called "Land of the Sirens", and it is said that here on the furthest point of the Sorrentine Peninsula these enchanting creatures once sang sailors to their doom. This legendary Bay of Ierano, from the Greek word ieros, or sacred land, is a promontory that juts out into the Mediterranean sea from the fishing village of Nerano almost to the coast of the island of Capri.
Punta Campanella
Punta Campanella is the point of the Sorrentine Peninsula, and looks out over the sea and the island of Capri on the horizon. This stretch of coast has been considered sacred since the times of the ancients, where the land ends and the sea stretches to the distance. It is said that Ulysses met the Sirens here, and had a temple to the goddess Minerva erected on the coast as a sign of his gratitude for her divine protection during his long odyssey.
Ischia
Ischia is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples, Italy. It's known for its mineral-rich thermal waters. Hot springs bubble up at Maronti Beach, in the south. East, Roman remains lie beneath the sea floor at Cartaromana Beach. The beach has views of medieval Aragonese Castle, linked to Ischia by a stone bridge.
