For a nice walk and great views of the city, take a walk across the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The base of the bridge is on 2nd avenue, a very short walk from the hotel. From here you can cross over the Cumberland River and get great views of downtown, the Broadway strip, Nissan Stadium, and the river.
12-South is a popular walkable neighborhood with lots of great food and shopping. There is coffee (Frothy Monkey, White Bison), dessert (Jeni's Ice Cream, Five Daughter's Bakery), food (The Flipside, Bartaco, Burger Up) and drinks (The Filling Station, Mill Creek Taproom, Portland Brew), and shopping (Madewell, Draper James, Marine Layer, Outdoor Voices). The neighborhood is a short uber or lyft away from Bode and will be buzzing with people on the weekend.
Pinewood Social is a cafe, bar, restaurant, pool, and bowling alley just a short walk from the hotel. They have delicious food for all meals of the day, but you can also go there to grab a coffee, pastries, or a cocktail. If you'd like to sit down and eat, you should make a reservation by phone.
Bearded Iris is one of our favorite local breweries. They serve up a wide variety of unique IPAs, with an occasional lager or pilsner. They are located in a unique neighborhood called Germantown and they have an outdoor patio. Bearded Iris does not serve food and is IPA-focused, so if you're looking for lunch and a wider selection of beer, we recommend checking out Tailgate Brewing, which is another great local brewery near Music Circle.
Flamingo is a nearby cocktail club in a repurposed church. They have great drinks, an excellent tropical vibe, and a bumping DJ. Plus, you'll be the only tourists in the house! Flamingo is a short uber or lyft from the hotel if you're looking for a fun night at a local spot.
The epicenter of Nashville tourism, and the biggest bachelorette destination in the country. If you like loud country music, this is your place. We don't often head to Broadway, but when we do, we go to Acme Feed & Seed. Most bars on Broadway have rooftops, head up there! If you don't like crowds, Broadway isn't for you.
