FAQs

Have questions? We’ve got answers! From travel tips to what to wear, this page covers the details to help make your trip to Jamaica as smooth and fun as possible.
Question

Do I have to stay on the Sandals Resort?

Answer

Not necessarily! In order for us to host our wedding at Sandals South Coast, at least 80% of our guests do need to stay on the resort. That being said, we completely understand that not everyone may be traveling with a partner, and paying for a double-occupancy room on your own can be a lot. If you decide to stay off-resort, Sandals offers wedding event passes so you can still join us for the big day: $170 – 5 consecutive hours $315 – Full day access These passes include entry to the wedding plus access to the resort’s all-inclusive amenities (food, drinks, pools, and activities) for the duration of your pass. Please plan ahead if you’ll be staying off the resort so we can help make arrangements.

Question

How should I book my room?

Answer

Please contact our wedding concierge, Jamilla, directly by email at jtait@uvltd.com or call 1-877-726-3257, extension 3746, to reserve your room at Sandals. Wedding Code: RG25179288 (make sure you give this code to associate the room with the wedding) Please note that all rooms are reserved at double occupancy (2 adults), and the price remains the same for single occupancy. Additionally, suites are designed with king-size beds for 2 persons only. Rooms will be booked based on current discounts and rates.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration so everyone can relax and enjoy the festivities.

Question

Can I invite a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! While we would love to include everyone, space is limited. If you’re in a longstanding relationship, your partner is of course invited. Otherwise, please reach out to us before bringing a guest so we can plan accordingly. If your RSVP changes after you have submitted, please let us know as well!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving by July 16 so you can settle in and join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the evening of July 16.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The vibe is beach formal. Think flowy dresses, breezy fabrics, and lightweight suits or linen shirts. Long pants are preferred for men. Sandals or dressy flats are perfect (heels and sand don’t mix well!).

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

Use the RSVP tab here on our website. Simply type in your name and your invitation should appear. From there, you can RSVP for both the in-person ceremony and the livestream option. If you received a mailed invitation, it also includes a mailable RSVP section that you can fill out and send back to us. You’re also welcome to text us at 612-616-1015 (Lauren) or 605-691-4138 (Tate) to RSVP or if you run into any issues or have questions!

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

After nine years together, we truly have everything we need. Gifts are not expected! If you feel moved to give, we’d love for you to consider a contribution to our honeymoon fund or one of the registry options we’ve shared.

Question

Travel Tips:

Answer

Currency: Jamaican dollars are the local currency, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted at the resort. Weather: Expect warm, tropical weather. Light fabrics and sun protection are your best friends. Power outlets: Jamaica uses the same 110V plugs as the U.S., so no adapters are needed.
