Lauren and Tanner first met while working together at Wegmans pharmacy in Perinton, New York! Tanner was eighteen and preparing for pharmacy school at St. John Fisher, while Lauren was still in high school in the middle of her sophomore year. We worked many closing shifts and weekends together, and quickly became good friends. Tanner never knew, but Lauren had a crush on him! She loved laughing with him at work, and getting to see him so often! Eventually life took them in different directions as Tanner went off to college, and Lauren did the same a few years later! A few summers later, Lauren returned to her summer job at the pharmacy and found Tanner there again - this time as the new pharmacy intern! She immediately recognized him and couldn't believe he was back! She was so happy to see him again, and instantly felt her crush return! She ran to Rosie, their good friend, and told her how she felt! Rosie told her she would do some detective work and see if he was available! (He was!) Tanner will tell you he couldn’t believe it when she walked in, and how happy he was to see her! He always says how beautiful she looked! After a few shifts together, they picked up where they had left off years ago - as if no time had passed. Lauren knew she had to see him outside of work! After a few shifts together, Lauren devised a plan to ask Tanner to after work drinks and it worked, thanks to Rosie! He was very tired from work and wasn’t sure if he would, but she convinced him to go have fun! Before leaving that night, Lauren wrote down her number, gave it to him, and told Tanner to call her! Tanner reached out to her the same night; and the next day they went on their first date to a drive in movie! They spent everyday of that summer together, and have been together ever since! Lauren and Tanner still go on a drive in movie date each year to recreate that first date - They still talk through the entire movie and eat endless amounts of candy together each time too! :)
