Our Story

Lauren and Tanner first crossed paths in 2015 while working at a Bozeman restaurant called Red Chair. After plenty of subtle (and not-so-subtle) matchmaking from mutual friends, they officially became a couple in September 2019—after attending the wedding of their dear friends, Will and Beth Oliver. Their first date remains a lighthearted debate. Lauren insists it happened months earlier, when Tanner invited her to dinner at a local steakhouse. She and her matron of honor, Hayley, had even planned her outfit for the occasion—only for Tanner to casually text that Hayley and her husband, Weston, should come along, too. A group dinner? A date? The jury’s still out. Since then, Lauren and Tanner have shared both beautiful milestones—degrees earned, promotions received, adventures taken—and difficult seasons, including a pandemic, illness, loss, and, somehow, two Trump presidencies. Through it all, they’ve grown stronger together and are now beyond excited to celebrate their marriage with the people they love most.
