Tahir and I were matched up through mutual friends. We talked over the phone almost every night for about a month before we actually met in person for our first date. In November of 2016, Tahir was traveling to Nashville, TN for work and planned for us to go to dinner and see a movie. I chose a nice steakhouse nearby in Huntsville, AL and of course Tahir is a natural comedian and chose a comedy movie, Boo! A Madea Halloween. We clicked since day one, and the rest is history.

Tahir planned a family dinner gathering for both of our families to meet in Birmingham at Perry's Steakhouse and Grille. However, Tahir's family was unable to come due to a family emergency. I didn't know all of this until my family started to arrive. There was one seat left and as soon as my mom came in and sat down, Tahir stood up. He grabbed my hand and walked me to the open area in the private seating area. He expressed his love for me, kneeled on one knee, and asked for my hand in marriage. In tears, I said yes!

Tahir and I wed April 20, 2018 in an intimate ceremony in Auburn, AL. We chose to celebrate our love amongst all our family and friends with a wedding vow renewal ceremony exactly one year later. We could not be more excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
