About Alyson's Orchard/Things to Do
Alyson’s Orchard was founded in the 1980s by Bob and Susan Jasse.
The orchard has 450 acres of trees, lawns, wildflowers and swimming ponds.
Alyson’s is one of the finest heirloom apple orchards in North America, featuring over 50 varieties of apples, along with berries, peaches, grapes, pears and plums in season.
The apples at Alyson’s Orchards have been certified as Eco-Apples. As Eco-Apple farmers, the farm works to ensure specific growing practices. This program was developed by Red Tomato, a non-profit organization whose mission is “to connect farmers and consumers through marketing, trade and education, and through a passionate belief that a family-farm, locally-based, ecological, fair trade food system is the way to a better tomato” (or better apple).
