Question

So wait, are you two married already?

Answer

Spoiler alert: Technically yes. Since we currently live in New Zealand, we thought it would be a good idea to apply for and receive our marriage license in NZ. So technically, legally, we were married on July 20th in Wellington, NZ. But that's all just paperwork. What really matters is the celebration with family and friends, which is why we're having a wedding in Stan's hometown of Plovdiv, Bulgaria on August 25th and this wedding, near Lauren's hometown in New Eagle PA, on October 13th.

Is the Youghiogheny Country Club hard to find?

Answer

While the YCC is definitely a bit on the secluded side, any of your standard GPS apps will have no problem finding the club using the address we provide.

Question

Where should we head for the ceremony when we get there?

Answer

The ceremony will (hopefully) be held outdoors and outside the back of the YCC. When you arrive, you can either pull up to the front of the club and have your car valeted (it's free!) and then either walk through or around the outside of the club to get to the back. Or you can drive around the outside of the club, park in the back parking lot, and make your way to the ceremony grounds from there. It will be right in the back, near the parking lot and the pool. We'll make sure it's easy to spot - lots of chairs, familiar faces, the sounds of appropriate mood music, etc etc.

What's the bar situation going to be at the wedding?

Answer

In addition to an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks, the bar will be serving a pre-designated selection of a red, rose, and white wine and domestic beer during the ceremony. The bar will also be open prior to the ceremony but strictly as a cash bar, so if you'd like to show up a bit early and treat yourself to a drink definitely feel free!

Is anything fun happening the day before the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Friday Oct 12th (the day before the wedding) we're inviting anyone who's free to join us at Calabria's Restaurant in Castle Shannon (http://www.calabrias.biz/). We won't be having a rehearsal dinner, but we wanted a chance to get together with anyone who was free that evening and wanted to join us for a nice dinner. It'll be very casual (with everyone just handling their own meal/s) so if you'd like to join us, reach out to us via the contact information listed in the FAQ below!
