In the summer of 2018, Lauren was working at a winery while finishing university, spending long nights coordinating weddings and late-night celebrations. At the same time, Siddhesh was teaching culinary skills at Centennial College and was asked to step in as a chef for events at the same winery. Before long, those long nights turned into working side by side. Siddhesh tried to win Lauren over the only way he knew how, by cooking for her and her friends during their shifts. Lauren was vegan at the time, which forced him to rethink nearly everything he made. She was hesitant at first, but his persistence, and surprisingly good vegan food, eventually won her over, and they began dating. From the beginning, being together felt easy. During the pandemic, they moved in together, adopted too many cats, and quickly settled into everyday life. Somewhere along the way, Lauren stopped being vegan and finally experienced the full extent of Siddhesh’s cooking. What started simply grew into a relationship built on commitment, mutual support, and a shared desire to build a life together. In November 2024, Siddhesh surprised Lauren during a trip to Palm Beach, Florida, and proposed on the beach. They are now excited to share that they will be getting married on September 9, 2026, in Lake Como, Italy. As they look ahead to this next chapter, they are collecting letters, advice, and memories from the people they love to read on the morning of their wedding and would be honoured to include anyone who wishes to take part. They are deeply grateful for the love and support they have received and can’t wait to celebrate what’s ahead.
