We ask that if you are drinking, bring some booze for the party. If you bring something just for yourself (like a specific brand) you can label it as so, but please also bring something to pitch in if possible. If you are flying in and want us to buy your alcohol, just let Lauren know. There is a small "country store" a few minutes away with a few limited options. Side note: Wedding planning guides guess that for a wedding of 50 people we will need 30 bottles of wine, 4 bottles of spirits, and 90 beers. I'm guessing we should triple this since we will be there for 3 days. (So we're going to need a lot of beer.)
Please let Lauren or Sharla know if you have any food allergies/preferences, or edit the information in the spreadsheet. Additionally, the beds have down comforters so please let us know if you are allergic to that as well.
Guests can arrive as early as noon on Thursday, but we will be there the night before so contact Lauren if you plan on arriving before then. Unfortunately, there is another event with guests arriving Sunday, so we will need to check out by 10 am on Sunday.
Please check the weather a week beforehand, but a good rule of thumb will be to bring layers. Very little chance of snow, but make sure to bring a jacket or warm sweater for night. Also, bring a bathing suit for hot tub, outfit for wedding, and a onesie (if you want) for brunch! We will be bringing extra onesies.
We have decided to make vaccinations mandatory. Additionally, we are requiring a negative covid test prior to arriving to the wedding. We will only require masks when making or obtaining food.
We are planning on staying through Monday so we can have Sunday to do some fun adventures around Durango: alpine slide, brewery, etc. If you are interested in staying let us know!
Other than the night of the wedding, we will be cooking all of our own food. This is a family affair so we are asking everyone to pitch in with either set-up, prep, cooking, break down, or clean up. I will include a spreadsheet for everyone to sign up for a shift or two if you want. If you want to cook something specific please let us know and will we obtain the ingredients needed. Please feel free to add to the "Meals" tab for food we need to bring.
