The ceremony is in Central Park. This is a very large park and the garden location is probably not near where you have been before. It’s at 105th St and 5th Ave. It’s very far uptown but it’s the best spot to get married in Central Park.
The reception is the upstairs of a cute Lower East Side restaurant called Freeman’s. Part of the charm is that it’s located down its own alley called Freemans alley. The street you will enter the alley from is Rivington Street. We’ll put a sign up so you know where to turn. After the reception, those interested will take Ubers/Lyfts to the after party at a karaoke bar where we have private space reserved.
Yes, there is a gap between our ceremony and reception, giving us a chance to relax a bit and get our dogs home. The good news is- you’re in NYC, baby! The world is literally yours. Check out our favorite spots page to see some suggestions or feel free to reach out and ask us!
If we had to describe it, we’d say classy garden attire. But most of all, something you’re comfortable in that makes you feel your best. Since there is a gap between ceremony and reception, you can always bring out two different looks if you like. Ceremony is outdoors in a garden, reception is indoors in a rustic-looking restaurant. For the brunch on Sunday, we’d love people to wear fun onesies.
We are recommending using Uber or Lyft to get around. Please download the apps in advance of the weekend so you are ready to go!
Spoons Toons and Booze is a fabulous event held at Nitehawk Cinema. It’s a small independent movie theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The show consists of old school cartoons, free cereal, games, cocktails and a fabulous performance by our amazing friends Nell and Michael. You don’t want to miss it.
Yes, we will require all guests over 5 to be fully vaccinated for everyone's safety.
The ceremony will take place outside. Average temperatures for September in New York are pleasant. The average high temperature is 75F (24C) and the average low is 61F (16C). The reception will be indoors. A light jacket is recommended.
While we are both from Texas, we have spent the last 11 years in NYC and want to share it with you all by bringing our friends and family together in a place we both love so much.
We are allowing kids on a case by case basis. Please get in touch with us if you plan to bring children so we can help you arrange things.
