So let's start from the beginning. Serena was on this app called Tinder. She swiped right on this girl named Jen, Lauren's childhood friend. Serena and Jen dated briefly. Things didn't work out between them (obviously). However, they remained good friends. Jen had posted a selfie with Lauren. Serena saw the picture and told Jen, "Hook it up with your friend." Being the good friend that she is, Jen invited Serena to a Dodger game Lauren was planning on attending. Leading up to the event, Lauren had asked Jen if she had any cute, single friends that were coming to the game. Jen, of course, mentioned Serena. She also sent Lauren a picture of Serena. Lauren thought Serena was cute but... there had to be a catch, right? Because why else would she be single? Both eagerly went to the Dodger game. Lauren arrived to the game first... duh. While Lauren escorted Jen, Serena, and the other friends that showed up, Serena sat as far away from Lauren as possible. And they didn't speak for the rest of the night... SIKE! Lauren asked her lovely friend to switch seats with her so she could talk to Serena. From that point on, they began to get to know each other. This consisted of long hours of talking on the phone and long date nights. Lauren quickly learned about Serena's silliness, thoughtfulness, kindness, spontaneity, and competitiveness. Serena learned about Lauren's love for travel, consistency, timeliness, kindness, and positivity. On June 23rd, 2017, we went to San Francisco Pride where Lauren officially asked Serena to date her. Since then, they have traveled around the world (literally), hit 30, and bought a house together. Fast forward to June 23rd, 2023. Serena proposed to Lauren in front of the place where they first met. Then on December 1st, 2023, on the anniversary of when they both said, "I love you," and in the place they planned to get married... Lauren proposed to Serena.
