We met in July 2017 at Camp STIX, a camp for kids with Type-1 Diabetes. Lauren was attending as a nursing student her junior year, and Sean had been attending Camp STIX as a camper since age 8, and a camp counselor since age 16. Our camp names were Swagger (Sean) and Lava-Girl (Lauren). We shared a few smiles, danced our hearts out at the camp dance party, and knew there was an instant and palpable connection between us. After camp, we reflected on how amazing it was to meet each other, and how neither of us had ever felt a connection so effortless and strong before. We were both working and wrapping up college, but were lucky enough to bump into each other once or twice at karaoke (Sean singing Superstitious by Stevie Wonder and Lauren singing Hot In Here by Nelly). Every brief interaction was better than the last, and it was hard to deny the chemistry. We couldn't wait to finish school and begin our adventure together, an adventure that we have cherished every day since. The last few years together have been wonderful, and we appreciate the loving and supportive community surrounding us. We cannot wait to share our special day with each and every one of you. Thank you for being a huge part of our story and journey together. We want to celebrate with you and express our gratitude for your involvement in our lives as individuals and as a union.
