Lauren and I met online (I messaged her first!) and talked non stop through the holidays of 2018. After Christmas we decided to meet in person for a classic first date: dinner and a movie. We picked a spot halfway between us and met with a nervous hug and big smiles. The conversation was enjoyable, the drinks were strong, and I have no idea what happened during the movie - but I was smitten. The next night was New Year's Eve and our cozy evening of Thai food and a kiss at midnight is now one of my favorite yearly traditions.
