How to Get There:
Getting to Puerto Peñasco is easier than you might think! Most guests will fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). From Phoenix, it is just a beautiful 4-hour drive straight to the beach in Puerto Peñasco. You will cross the U.S.-Mexico border at Lukeville, AZ, and continue right down to the coast. To cross the border, you will need one of the following: -U.S. Passport -U.S. Passport Card (This is the wallet-sized card that allows land and sea travel to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. It is perfect for driving to Puerto Peñasco.) That is it! No visa is required for tourist visits under 180 days. You will just drive across the border and continue on to Puerto Peñasco. Transportation Options:
-Rental Car: The most flexible option is to rent a car at the Phoenix airport and enjoy the scenic drive. Just be sure to request Mexican car insurance through your rental company when you book. -Carpool: If you arrive in Phoenix on Thursday, November 6, 2025, you can ride down with a group of other guests on Friday morning. It is a fun and easy way to travel together. -Shuttle Service: For those who prefer not to drive, we are also arranging group shuttle service through https://www.headouttorockypoint.com/services-pricing. If we get enough people, we can secure a great group rate of $120 round trip per person. If you would like to join the shuttle, just let us know so we can organize it. We will help coordinate carpools and shuttle groups as the date gets closer, so getting here is easy for everyone. Where to Stay
We want your trip to Puerto Peñasco to feel like a mini vacation! There are lots of great and easy options for where to stay, whether you want to be right next to the wedding venue or relax at a beautiful beach resort. We recommend booking through Airbnb or VRBO, which offer plenty of great options. Houses near the wedding venue (Las Conchas): The easiest and most convenient option is to stay in a house near the wedding venue in the Las Conchas area. Many homes are right on the beach or just a short walk away. You will be close to the action and can easily enjoy time with other wedding guests. Wedding venue address for reference: Viento de Mar, Las Conchas 83554 Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico Resorts on the west side of town: If you prefer the full resort experience, there are several beautiful beachfront resorts on the west side of Puerto Peñasco, with pools, restaurants, and more.
