FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you will be joining us for the wedding by June 05, 2026.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence is a gift in and of itself. However, we do have a Registry page with information on preferred charities for donations, our registry list, and where to send cash gifts.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and end by 7 p.m. Please plan to arrive closer to 6 p.m. to ensure you are seated comfortably.

Question

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Photos and/or the cocktail hour may occur outdoors (weather permitting). Should you prefer to remain indoors, the entire venue is open for your exploration during the event hours.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We wish for you to dress however brings you the most joy and allows for eating and dancing! However, we do ask you avoid darker greens (forest, emerald, etc.). There will be representation of Desi attire as well as American/western attire.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to space constraints, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate anyone not included on an invitation. This does include children.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we enjoy children and children enjoy science centers, we do have limited space and are unfortunately unable to accommodate anyone not included on an invitation, including children.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the 'Travel' page for information on the hotel room block. However, there are many lovely hotels in Baltimore and around the nearest airport (Baltimore-Washington International). While the venue is within walking distance of some hotels and/or along public transport routes, it will likely be a warm and humid day and we recommend using ride-hailing services (e.g. Uber, Lyft) or renting a vehicle to ensure you arrive fresh and relaxed.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is on-site parking for approximately 30 vehicles in a gated, attended lot. Vehicles must be moved when the event ends (12 a.m.), otherwise vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed. While the venue is within walking distance of some hotels, it will likely be a warm and humid day and we recommend using ride-hailing services (e.g. Uber, Lyft) or renting a vehicle to ensure you arrive fresh and relaxed.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

At this time, we are not planning to arrange transportation. Event parking is available at the venue and ride-hailing services (e.g. Uber, Lyft) are widely available. We encourage you ask your hotel about transportation. However, please reach out to us if you have questions - we are happy to help!

Question

Will the Maryland Science Center be open during the event?

Answer

To the public, no. To our guests, yes! All floors and exhibits are open to guests throughout the entire event. Food and drink are allowed in all areas.

Question

What will be on the menu? How can I share a dietary restriction?

Answer

All food will be pork-free and will have ingredients noted. There will be light refreshments during the cocktail hour. For dinner, all guests will receive plated salad and bread and then have access to all items on the buffet. The buffet will consist of flank steak tagliatta, honey roasted old bay chicken, roasted summer vegetables, and a three-potato medley. For guests with incompatible allergies, a special meal will be prepared.
