Flight
There are several airlines that fly into St. Thomas (STT) including American, Delta, Jet Blue, Spirit, and United Airlines.
Travel Note
If you are not renting a car, we recommend the inter island ferry service between Crown Bay, St. Thomas and Cruz Bay, St. John. From the St. Thomas airport you will need to take a 10 min public taxi to Crown Bay. The ferry leaves from Crown Bay daily at 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m (verify these times before you arrive). Tickles Bar in the Crown Bay Marina is a great place to relax and get some food and drinks while you wait for the ferry. Sam and I recommend ordering the bushwacker and not ringing the bell (unless you want to buy the bar a round).
Travel Note
Rent a car at or near the St. Thomas airport (there are kiosks at baggage claim) and then drive to the Red Hook car barge dock at the East End of St. Thomas. The car barge fee will be approximately $60 round-trip and leave regularly (there are 2 companies that provide the service), but make sure to keep an eye out for last ferries of the day to and from St John. The barge is also cash only.
Travel Note
While there are no Ubers in St. Thomas, plentiful taxis are awaiting arriving travelers at the ground transportation area of the STT airport. Be sure to negotiate your fare cost before entering the vehicle to begin your journey to your destination.
Hotel
Once you get to St. John on foot or by car, there are several hotels within walking distance of the Cruz Bay ferry terminal, including (from most to least budget-friendly) 1. St. John Inn 2. Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel 3. Grande Bay Resort 4. Wharfside Village Hotel 5. Gallows Point For wedding festivities, we will specify a time and location within walking distance of these hotels where a car will be waiting to pick you up and drop you off later.
