Tuesday July 10th was my day off..and I was not going to leave Ryan alone. I did all the things. I woke up early. I went to pick leaf samples (trying my best to be a farm girl). I went to lunch (well I made Ryan take me to lunch even though he tried to drop me off at home so he could go pick up the ring). Then Ryan said he had to go mow (which I found strange since I had just heard Blake on the farm radio saying he was mowing). So I went home and hung out with Finn for the remainder of the afternoon. After a couple hours Ryan called and wanted to hang out and have dinner with my parents (this was not totally out of our normal routine, we are a pretty close family). After dinner Ryan wanted to show my dad "something new on his boat" (this was when he asked my dad...just 30 minutes before the proposal!). It was 8:30 at this point and I did not want to take my parents to the pasture to show them Norman's pond...It was close to my bedtime! (early I know) My dad said, "quit being a baby and let's go!" So we did. We pulled up and there was Rod and Susan around the fire (again still not totally out of the norm). Susan informed us they were meeting Blake and Stacy for a drink (still clueless and wondering why we werent invited). Later Ryan suggests we take a picture on the dock with Finn for his Instagram (yes.. my dog's Instagram). Then MUCH to my surprise Ryan got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him (all without letting go of his Busch light). It was truly perfect and even more special having both our parents there! It was at this time that I felt bad for making it so difficult for him to get rid of me that day so he could go pick up the ring! But boy am I glad he did!!
