Lauren's Maid of Honor
Maddie and I met during our first year of college through our Bible study in Chi Alpha! We quickly became friends through being "lunch buddies", then lived together for the next three years of college. Maddie and I have spent countless hours together over the last few years, and she has heard me talk about Ryan for more hours than I knew possible through each stage of our relationship. Her listening ear, encouraging prayers, wise advice, and incredibly kind heart are so impactful to me and those around her! I'm so excited to have her standing by me as Ryan and I get married!
Lauren's Maid of Honor
Kirsten is my sister who is closest to me in age. We have shared so many life experiences, from dance parties in our shared childhood bedroom to weekly lunch dates in college. Kirsten's consistent friendship, smile, listening ear, and support means so much to me. I am so thankful for her joyful support of mine and Ryan's coming marriage and am looking forward to having her with us on our wedding day!
Ryan's Best Man
Ryan and I met during our first year of college at UVA through our Chi Alpha core group (Bible study). The first time we hung out was watching a friend of a friend attempt to eat an entire Benny's pizza alone. We quickly became very close friends from there and decided to become roommates. Kyle and I continued to room together for the entirety of undergrad, were in the same core groups together, and grew into best friends. Some of my favorite memories with Kyle are playing best ball golf together, which is really just Kyle playing 18 holes practically solo!
Lauren's Bridesmaid
Hope is another of my amazing older sisters. She has always made me feel valued and strong, and is such a great role model to me in many ways. We process life similarly and enjoy our drive-home chats when we catch up on our lives in Charlottesville and Baltimore. No matter how busy life gets, I know Hope will make time to invest in our friendship. I'm very thankful to have Hope join us on our wedding day!
Ryan's Groomsman
Jacob and I met during the fall of my fourth year at UVA. We were in class together and worked on a group project that took enough time that we may have ended up bonding more than we initially wanted to. Jacob and I continued to have class together and would hang out at UVA games since we are both avid UVA sports fans. Jacob and I go to the same church and joined the same Bible study. Eventually that group needed to multiply, so we now lead a Bible study together! My favorite memories with Jacob are the many UVA games we have attended together, watched together, or watched separately and live-ranted about to one another.
Lauren's Bridesmaid
Anna is the oldest Elliott sister! Anna has always set an example of kindness, care, and boldness for me and my siblings. Her creative spirit and thoughtful conversations mean so much to me. She has always pursued friendship with me despite our age gap, which has been so impactful in my life. I am grateful for who she is and for this next season of living in close proximity again!
Ryan's Groomsman
Pat and I met during my first year of college where Pat was one of my core group leaders. Pat remained my leader and mentor for the next three years until Pat's graduation. Pat was and continues to be one of the people I look up to and seek out for advice. My favorite memories with Pat are our last one-on-one discipleship meeting and our post-core group hangouts.
Lauren's Bridesmaid
Emmie and I met in second grade and have been close since elementary school. Emmie's friendship has been a constant source of joy and comfort through each season of life! Through all of our time as teammates, classmates, roommates at UVA, Bible study buddies, and beginning our teaching careers together, Emmie has been a faithful and supportive friend. It's such a gift to go through this season of engagement and marriage together and I can't wait to see how our friendship continues to grow in the coming years!
Ryan’s Groomsman
Collmann and I met at church in bible study. Collmann has been in my same bible study since we met and has become a close friend and vital member of Ryan's community. My favorite memory with Collmann is staying up watching the election night coverage and playing wizard.
Lauren's Bridesmaid
Amy and I met on on our first night at UVA and have been good friends ever since. We were roommates for our second through fourth year of college and have remained close after graduation! Amy's prayers, uplifting personality, and humor are such a light in my life. She makes me feel able to be myself and celebrates the small and big things in life so well. I'm very excited for this next season of being newlyweds together!
Ryan's Groomsman
Sam is Lauren's younger brother and now Ryan's groomsman. Ryan and Sam have gotten to know each other over the last couple years of Ryan and Lauren's relationship. Ryan's favorite memories with Sam are the relentless capacity for activity on the beach they share.
Lauren's Bridesmaid
Alli is Ryan's sister who I had the joy of meeting when Ryan and I began dating in 2022. She is such an example of the Lord's joy and goodness in my life! She is thoughtful, fun, and a great friend. Whether it's cheering at a UVA game or trying a new dance, Alli and I have the best time together. I am incredibly thankful for who she is and to be able to have her as a sister!
