Its a tale as old as time... Lauren and Ryan met in the fall of 2010 during their freshman year of college at UCONN West Hartford where their friendship began to grow as they had mutual friends and interests. Lauren and Ryan could always be found talking about cars, laughing and eating Chinese food. As the year ended, they moved to the Storrs campus where they lived in different quads but could always find each other near by. As time went on, one thing remained unsaid, there was more to their story than friendship. In February of 2015, all fell into place over a quiet date at City Steam Brewery which led to April 10th, 2015 when Lauren asking Ryan out with a knock knock joke and he said yes! At this point they knew they were onto something and shortly after they purchased a cozy home in the woods, started a family with Cavatelli and Franki and have enjoyed the ride ever since. This ride includes many experiences together and individually as they have grown as people and a couple through years of laughs, deep discussions, canoeing, eye rolls, becoming a Professional Engineer and a Licensed Master of Social Work, loss, dirt bike adventures, tacos and margaritas, 3 more kittens and a lot of patience. On August 7th, 2021, Ryan made it official and asked Lauren to marry him where she said yes and on June 24th, 2023 they will be forever known as Lauren and Ryan Smith.
