You might be wondering why two people getting married in Greenville, SC have a picture of snowy mountains as their wedding website background… Well, one of the first things Rudy knew about Lauren was her Canadian heritage and favorite place in the world, Banff. Presented with a week off between Christmas and New Years in 2022, Lauren decided to take Rudy back to Banff. Once the vacation was booked, Rudy put his proposal plan in motion. Ring shopping, an incognito trip to her parents for their blessing (turning his Find My Friends location off), and a day of skiing later, Rudy found the perfect spot along the Bow River in Banff to drop to one knee. Lauren and Rudy are so thankful for their love and cannot wait to celebrate January 27, 2024 with all of their family and friends!

We met the way people do during COVID… on a dating app. Lauren asked him what his favorite concert was (Paul McCartney) and within the day we had a date planned. Based off of his profile and messages, Lauren was trying hard not to get too excited by the person who used proper grammar and paragraph structure in texts who also had an “I’m cool, I’m an architect” side. He picked a really cool brewery located in what would become the neighborhood they now live in together (if in ATL go to Bold Monk Brewery). What Rudy remembers is Lauren’s looks, what Lauren remembers was how easy the conversation was :P. 3 years later they are so thrilled to be getting married!
