Lauren and Richard’s journey began as all classic 21st century romances do – a match on Hinge. Unfortunate timing as it was, the two could not set a date to meet due to their busy schedules. However, as fate would have it, a few weeks later Lauren spotted Richard at a rec kickball game, each playing on opposing teams. What caught Lauren’s attention was a call out from Richard's teammate, Jonathan, telling Richard to drop his beer so he could field a fly ball (which he did so effortlessly without spilling it). From that moment on, their story would be intertwined forever. A few hours later that night, a text that changed Richard's world lit up his phone screen - “what are the chances your team played my team in kickball tonight?”. Richard could hardly believe his luck as a second chance at the girl of his dreams was possible. Seizing upon the opportunity, he pressed his luck and set a date to meet Lauren for drinks at Happiest Hour. A couple Blue Moons and Aperol Spritzes later and Lauren and Richard were on their way to forever.
