The Looper is the free trolley that takes you all around Downtown St. Pete. The Central Ave Trolley takes you up and down Central Avenue, from Bayside to Beachside! From St. Pete Pier to the southern area of St. Pete Beach called Pass-A-Grille Beach! Check the website for routes and scheduled times.
The SunRunner is new to St. Pete! It takes you from bayside all the way across to beachside and stops near a few different beach areas along the northern area of St. Pete Beach. I suggest getting off at the Slyce stop because that is near places like Post Card Inn and Tradewinds; a beach area with plenty to do. Note: This SunRunner is different from the Central Ave Trolley which just takes you to the southern part of St. Pete Beach (Pass-A-Grille area). So, it all just depends on where you are headed! Check the website for routes and scheduled times.
St. Pete Pier is great for exercise, enjoying the weather, watching wildlife, entertaining kids, as well as entertaining adults! It has it all! From a local market pop-up on weekdays, to a water fountain pad and playground, to bars/restaurants, to fishing, watersports, I could go on and on!
Vinoy Park is my all-time FAVORITE place in St. Pete. I frequent it multiple times a week. It is so peaceful. You can take in the view and hang out on the wall edge with the dolphins (they are there every day!). You can exercise along the mile-marked walkway. There is an outdoor gym as well as volleyball nets just north at its neighboring North Shore Park.
The Dalí Museum celebrates the life and work of Salvador Dalí, and features works from the artist’s entire career. The collection includes over 2,400 works from every moment and in every medium of his artistic activity, including oil paintings, many original drawings, book illustrations, artists’ books, prints, sculpture, photos, manuscripts and an extensive archive of documents.
We love this little spot on the water. When walking by it just looks like a local watering hole (no pun intended!), but the food is actually phenomenal! TIP #1: If you happen to enjoy "Bada-Bing Watersports" beforehand, they give you a card for a free Happy Hour drink at Fresco's! We found that out when we rented a Jetski ride to Fort DeSoto (also recommended). TIP #2: The "Poke Tuna Bowl" and the "Black & Blue Ahi Salad" are so fresh and delicious!
This is the rooftop bar at the very edge of the pier. We got engaged right below by the water and came up here to celebrate with champagne and beautiful views! It is a 360 view of the bay and am awesome view of the city. There are even little huts you can rent out with a group of 6 people each.
This local market is HUGE. For those of you able on the morning of our wedding day, I highly suggest you check it out! You can even take the free trolley; it stops right at The Hampton Inn; the hotel we have blocked for the Wedding.
St. Pete Beach was rated #1 beach by TripAdvisor! Beautiful to relax, and if you want to be a little more fancy you can enjoy it by the historic Don Cesar Hotel where you can rent a Cabana or a couple Chairs to get drinks brought right to you! (You don't have to be staying there to do so.)
Pass-A-Grille Beach is usually my go-to for beaches. If you go a little further south of the Don CeSar landmark, the most southern part of Pass-A-Grille is quaint and smaller. There are spots there like The Brass Monkey where you can enjoy drinks and watch the sunset from the second story deck.
Gulfport is my favorite little town here. It is a quaint little artsy beach town with cool little shops and bars. Also, a great spot for fishing or play volleyball on the beach. I go more for the small-town feel of the local shops. On Tuesdays they have their local pop-up market all along the strip. It is also home of Sumitra - a specialty Espresso Lounge and my go-to spot get work done on my laptop. It is the coolest spot, decorated with pieces from all over the world. Amazing coffee, and you can infuse anything with CBD.
